Inspired by the new Interview site (http://www.interviewmagazine.com/) I put together a rough of a jar site. The idea is that the window will be as wide as the month. Nothing fancy. Just good old fashioned scrolling, flipped horizontally.
Ignore the script. Its a pick-up from my other jpg. Feedback is welcome.

I like it. I've been seeing quite a few fine art photo sites laid out this way. Maybe it approximates the relationship on a gallery wall more closely? Not sure why it works better, but I think horizontal wins over vertical scrolling. Maybe its a better way for it to pop into view? When you scroll down you see the top, then incrementally the rest of it. This way, with a portrait orientation, you see the entire object more quickly. ? Not sure about that. Probably most key is that we read left to right and when something is so chronological and part of a series it just feels better. Sorry for the long response when I could have just said: "I like it."
