so what is this? if its a screen, how about making it a closed system, ie. an island? i'm not sure i like the rigid geometry of the boundary when the content is organic. or faux organic. if its a t-shirt design, then i feel even more strongly so. that way the topo lines could wrap the body and superimpose a topography that might or might not align with human proportions.
it's just a fragment from our new grading, but yeah my mind started working the same way, i like the subtler optical tones portion of it more than the more severe events. and it could also work as a repeat pattern instead of a closed loop.
pete sent this to me but never commented about it as he said he was going to. so i'm just passing it along. i don't know any of the details, but he found it in a book this past week.
